Welcome to BLYT Development

My name is Jacob Blight, founder of BLYT Development.

Throughout my journey as a former AFL player, educator and mentor, I experienced first-hand the challenges that young athletes face—both on and off the field. While physical performance is often prioritised, I realised that many aspiring athletes lack something even more important: guidance, positive role models and the personal development required to reach their full potential.

That realisation became the foundation of BLYT Development.

At BLYT Development, we believe high performance extends far beyond training sessions and game day. Success is built through strong character, disciplined habits, resilient mindsets and a commitment to continuous growth. These are the qualities that not only create better athletes but also better students, teammates, leaders and people.

Our programs are designed to provide young people with the structure, education and mentorship needed to navigate the challenges of sport, school and everyday life. Whether we're working with an individual athlete, a sporting club, a school or a specialised academy, our focus remains the same—to create meaningful, lasting impact.

We don't aim to replace the outstanding work already being done by coaches, teachers and support staff. Instead, BLYT exists to complement those environments by delivering practical education, leadership development and mentorship that strengthens the person behind the athlete.

As the organisation continues to grow, our vision extends beyond individual mentoring. We are committed to partnering with schools, sporting clubs, academies, community organisations and businesses to build confident, resilient and purpose-driven young people who positively influence those around them.
